Appointment of CEO

Globaltrans Investment PLC (the “Company” and together with its consolidated subsidiaries “Globaltrans” or the “Group”), (LSE ticker: GLTR) today announces the appointment of Valery Shpakov as Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect. He has acted in the role of Interim CEO of Globaltrans since November 2015.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Michael Zampelas, commented: "The Board is delighted to confirm Valery in the role of CEO. Not only does Valery have extensive sector experience and a track record of strong leadership within Globaltrans, he has further proven his suitability for the role over the past five months. We are very pleased he has agreed to take on the CEO role on a permanent basis."
Valery Shpakov has been the CEO of New Forwarding Company, the primary gondola car operating subsidiary of Globaltrans, since 2007, having joined the business in 2003. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the rail industry and has held managerial positions at various companies in the transport sector.
