Statement re: Media speculation
Globaltrans Investment PLC (together with its consolidated subsidiaries the “Company”, “Globaltrans” or the “Group”, LSE ticker: GLTR) notes the recent press speculation regarding a potential merger with NefteTransService. The Company emphasises that its strategy remains to seek out growth both organically and by selective acquisitions with the aim of creating value for the Group and all its shareholders. To this end, the Company consistently evaluates opportunities in the Russian rail freight market however it is currently not engaged in any acquisition discussions with NefteTransService.

Globaltrans is a leading private freight rail transportation group with operations in Russia, the CIS and the Baltic countries. The Group’s main business is the provision of freight rail transportation services. Globaltrans provides services to more than 500 customers and its key customers include a number of large Russian industrial groups in the metals and mining and the oil products and oil sectors.
